PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

In accordance with the 2024 Official Plan and Development Bylaw, the Rural Municipality of Victoria will host two public meetings on:

WEDNESDAY JUNE 4TH, 2025, 18H30

and

WEDNESDAY JUNE 18TH, 2025, 18H30

at

THE OLD SCHOOL, 730 Victoria Road, Victoria, PE

To discuss the application V-25-02 by J.S. MacKinnon Enterprises to rezone the lot # 207241 (known as the MacDonald land off Nelson Street) and to amend the Official Plan and the Zoning and Subdivision Control Bylaw of the Municipality.

This notice and documents of reference (Official Plan and Development Bylaw) are available on the Municipality’s website.

The Rural Municipality of Victoria is seeking a volunteer to fill the position of Municipal Emergency Measures Coordinator (MEMC).

The MEMC shall:

-          Develop and coordinate the Municipal Emergency Measures Program;

-          Coordinate plans for the continued functioning of municipal services which would be required in the event of an emergency;

-          Coordinate and conduct, on an annual basis, training and exercises to test the Municipal Emergency Measures Plan for the training of individuals who have an emergency role;

-          Coordinate public education programs related to emergency management, and;

-          Coordinate and manage the municipal operational response for an emergency upon activation of all or part of the Municipal Emergency Measures Plan or a declaration of a state of local emergency.

Preferred Qualifications:

-          A valid class 5 driver's license;

-          Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills;

-          Ability to preform under pressure;

-          Experience in emergency management, crisis response or a related field would be beneficial.
