Rent a Venue!
The municipality has 2 community-owned venues available for you to rent: the Historic Schoolhouse and our municipal park in the Dunrovin Shores Subdivision.
Victoria Historic Schoolhouse
Our Historic Schoolhouse, located at 730 Victoria Road and home to the offices of the Municipality and the Victoria Playhouse, was fully renovated and winterized in 2018.
The front room is a large and beautiful, sunlight-filled space with a smooth wood floor, containing displays curated by the Victoria Historical Association. The multi-functional space has hosted dance classes, meetings and conventions, training events, parties, theatre rehearsals, cultural events, weddings and more!

The ‘front room’, with approximately 60.5’ x 25.5’ of space, 12 large windows with blinds, and two entrances, including a front door suitable for bridal-party entrances.
An historic (and in-tune!) piano
Tables and chairs, which you are free to arrange in any orientation you see fit. Rental groups are expected to set up the room themselves, and to return furniture to its storage stacks after the event. You can use:
11 large circular tables (60” diameter, seating 6-8)
9 medium-sized square tables (36” x 36”, seating up to 4)
3 folding lightweight trestle tables (29” x 72”, seating up to 8)
100-ish stackable, comfortable chairs (no armrests)
Access to the building’s shared amenities:
Wifi
Clean, modern washrooms (4 stalls and 1 urinal)
A coat-check space with hangers and mats for snowy boots.
A fully equipped home-style kitchen (Fridge, electric oven & stovetop, kettle, coffee maker, urn, toaster oven, household dishwasher). Rental groups are expected to clean up after themselves & return kitchen to the state they found it in.

Maximum capacity of 150 people
Non Residents:
Daily Rate $240 + HST
Half-Day Rate (up to 4 hours): $120 + HST
Hourly rate $50 + HST
Weekly Rate $1,000 + HST
Janitorial fee $25 + HST (charged for all day/half day and weekly events)
The use of television screen $25 + HST (charged for all day/half day and weekly events)
Rates include use of tables, chairs, kitchen facilities, and wi-fi
Residents – 50% of rental rates. The janitorial fee ($25 + HST) and television screen fee ($25 + HST) apply in full and are not discounted.
Weddings
Deposit of $500 up front covering any damage to the property
Daily Rate - $500 + HST (includes use of tables, chairs, kitchen facilities)
Janitorial fee $50 + HST

Resident rates are available only if the resident is the main organizer and is present at the event and responsible for it. For organizational bookings, eligibility for discounts is determined at the organizational level, rather than based on an individual’s residency status or affiliation.
Meeting room rental is provided at no charge for meetings and events organized by eligible non‑profit organizations, including: Victoria non‑profit organizations (VHA, VBA, WI, VSM, VP, VFC); South Shore Watershed Association; Island Walk; and South Shore Health and Wellness Inc., as well as for other community meetings and events. Complimentary users are responsible for clean‑up after the event.
The complimentary use policy does not apply to revenue-generating activities or fee-based programs (e.g. classes, workshops, or other programs that charge admission fees). Eligible organizations receive a 50% discount on the applicable rental rates for these events.
Complimentary setup and cleanup time is provided as follows:
Hourly bookings: up to 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the booking time
Half-day bookings: up to 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the booking time
Complimentary setup and cleanup time is subject to availability and must not conflict with other bookings or municipal use of the facility.
Standard Cancellations: A full refund will be issued if notice is provided at least 48 hours prior to the booking.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Inclement Weather & Emergencies: In cases of unpredictable events such as severe weather or provincial emergencies, a full refund or re-scheduling will be offered regardless of the notice period.
No damage deposit is required, except for weddings. The booking contact will be responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning costs.
